Haku Ookami
The Regretful Light
Mother Wolf

Haku is a rather different individual in the idea that she seems far too kind for her own good, especially compared to most within the world where everyone seems very keen to leap at one another on a moment's notice. Where blade would meet throat, this Miqo'te woman seems to be far more wanting to settle fights by talking rather than anything remotely physical. Considered to be very sweet and kind, many look to Haku for guidance. In spite of holding a mere twenty two summers under her lifetime she seems to be a very old-type of soul, knowing many things that many her age would not. She strives to be kind and nothing but, though will not hesitate to draw a bow if those she cared for were in true danger. Most would refer to her type as a confrontational pacifist, only attacking when there is no other option to do so. At times she is said to look weary, as if something has caused her to become tired, but no one is quite able to get the answer as to why. If one were to narrow down her personality into simpler words, it would fall into stubborn, kind, motherly, and naive. Haku only wants the best for those around here and seems to be willing to get it for them at any cost, even at her own health.
Take me to the Grave

Born and abandoned at birth due to her white fur, hair, and pale skin, her biological parents thought her destined for death. Instead a pair of Auri found her, a female Raen and a male Xaela, and decided to take the infant Miqo'te in as one of their own. Haku was raised beside two brothers, Haru and Heiru, their names similar due to the belief that similar names would cause the triplets to grow closer over time. Haru, the oldest, was the easiest for Haku to get along with while Heiru, the youngest, proved to be an irritation at worst but still a brother at best. Not even ten summers had passed until a day came where Haku would no longer be with the first family she'd call her own. Instead, returning from the market with her two siblings, they were to find both parents dead within their home. Burnt to a crisp and in cold blood, it was a dreadful sight for all three children. Haku, however, took it the harshest and immediately ran from home in spite of the call of her brothers behind her. Later she would find out that they, too, were killed just within a day. It still haunts her at times.
Fleeing to the forests of Gridania, and sticking strictly to them over the course of nearly seven summers, she thrived on her own. Seventeen now, she was still underdeveloped in some ways, but that would be assisted when an Elezen man caught her attention. This would allow a relationship very similar to a sibling-like familial bond with the man called Haurchefaunt. He would take care of the young Haku for several years until his unneeded death, around which Haku would also realize she was to be a Warrior of Light-- even if she did not want to be such. She keeps such information on the downlow but still helps those in need even after leaving Dragonhead. Though she may not want to be a Warrior of Light, she finds solace in knowing that her assistance could perhaps be the only thing keeping another person from death.
Eventually she would locate the Scions and that is where she now resides, happily among what she considers to be her 'third family.' She adores the group she has met with and considers all of them in very high regard. As of lately Haku has been rather scarce, seeming to disappear at random intervals with no trace as to where she has gone. In the end, she always returns, but it is no doubt worrying to the outside eye.
(OOC note: Haku's current storyline is similar to the main quest, but not entirely the same. It branches off in some places but I didn't want to write too much here.)
Mouth Bloody, eyes estranged

Trivia/Small Fun Facts:
Haku is a Bard, but seems to not be keen on playing the harp she carries.
She is actually very good at playing the harp, she just feels she is not allowed to relax as a 'Warrior of Light's job is never done.'
Haku is super affectionate with those she considers close to her. Growing up alone made her crave human contact.
Haku enjoys the occasional pet from a person she finds dear to her. Any outside touch is immediately shied away from and given an odd look.
Honestly Haku is like one of my most depressive characters despite how nice she acts. She's a lot more in-depth than just 'kind hero who wants the best for others.'
Haku has some triggering backgrounds which I have left out, but please note that some of her background information is not for the faint of heart; includes hostage situation and other dark topics. Feel free to ask about it in dms though!
She hates killing others but does it because she knows that there is no other way to fix it otherwise. Tends to be the very last to resort to violence.
Adores sweets, favors chocolate the most. Seen drinking Hot Cocoa whenever she can. Carries small bubble chocolates with her constantly.
Amazing cook. She makes her own sweets and has been self-taught since she was a child.
She hates her name and only introduces herself as 'Haku.' Never offers her last name.
--POSSIBLE HOOKS/PLOT--
Colors of the WindHaku isn't tribe-born and therefore doesn't know nor understand the ways of a Miqo'te tribe. In a way, she doesn't care for it either. She relishes her freedom and inwardly shuns those confined by a Nunh due to her upbringing. Only minor information and readings are known to her. Perhaps someone new could explain to her the ways of how it works?
Sweet, Sweet MusicThough Haku doesn't flaunt it often, she is still a Bard by trade. Both her skills with a harp and her voice are a sweet, rare sound to hear as she does it majorily when she's on her lonesome. Is there another friend that may assist her to not be so self-conscious?
Legs to Carry Little, Life to Carry MoreDue to her past of fighting and other reasonings, Haku's legs and tail have been given their fair share of scars. Her tail no longer works properly and she is normally seen sitting down in odd places due to the nerves in her legs not being properly healed. It's a wonder how this Miqo'te can remain so optomistic. She could perhaps tell you, if you asked!
